Following the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign flag-off held at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium Jos, Plateau State on Tuesday.

A group under the aegis of the Global Center for Media and Human Empowerment(GCMHE) has faulted the APC for what it described as a’ campaign fraud’.

The GCMHE made this assertion in a statement signed by its Ag. Director-General Charles Ejoh, revealed that the APC had to import Almajiris and miscreants from other states to fill the 15,000 capacity Rwang Pam Township Stadium in Jos.

“The APC succeeded in importing Almajiris and miscreants to fill the 15,000 capacity Stadium in Jos. But it will interest the public to know that we were on ground to monitor the event.  Despite their desperation to fill the stadium at all cost, yet it was not filled to full capacity as purportedly reported.

Adding that if the members of APC were truly popular on the Plateau, they would have used the 60,000 New Jos Stadium for the mega campaign to test their popularity.

“Nigerians can see that the propaganda of the ruling party was brought to book today in Jos.If the APC was truly popular in Plateau State as it has portrayed itself, Governor Simon Lalong who happens to be the Campaign Director-General of Senator Bola Tinubu presidential campaign team would have ordered for the used of the 60,000 capacity New Jos Stadium to test their popularity.”

Speaking on the development, Bitrus Izang, a politician based in Jos, said that “despite the kangaroo work free day ordered by the governor so as to allow people of Jos and Bukuru metropolis to attend, it still didn’t work out for them.

As Jos residents decided not to turn up due to the unpopularity of the APC in Plateau as it was mostly under aged persons and thugs that graced the event”.

Similarly, a journalist who does not want his name in print confided to our reporter, says that the campaign rally in Jos was a sham.

In his words: “I haven’t seen any time the APC had organized any event properly in Plateau Sate. It has always been characterize by inadequacy and disorganization. I can confide to you that the management of the media was nothing to write home about as most Jos based journalists were in the limbo despite the fact that the event was hosted in Jos”.

The campaign rally was a conglomeration of groups from almost all the Northern states with little presence of residents of Plateau State at the event.

Recall that the event was almost marred by violence orchestrated by thugs.

EAGLE EYE NEWS24 reports that the campaign flag-off was attended by President Muhammadu Buhari, the APC governors and Senate President Ahmed Lawan among other party national stakeholders.

Governors Yahaya Bello (Kogi), Mohammed Badaru (Jigawa), Ben Ayade (Cross River), Mai Mala Buni (Yobe), and Nasiru el-Rufai (Kaduna) who all spoke at the event, pledged to work for the success of the party in 2023.
