A Non-Governmental Organisation,Global Center for Media and Human Empowerment(GCMHE)is set to hold a one-day Pre-Election Workshop in Bauchi State for journalists on election reporting.
The Head of Communications and Advocacy,Margret Bankole,disclosed to the media on Saturday in Jos,Plateau State.
According to her,the workshop will be held at the NUJ Press Center in Bauchi on Saturday 19th November by 11.00am.
She described the GCMHE as an interventionist and strategic Media and Empowerment Group that specializes on contemporary mode of impacting relevant media approach to empower journalists.
The group said the workshop is designed to motivate and aid journalists through relevant media knowledge that would solve problems associated with modern day practice of journalism especially election reportage.
“The programme is designed to motivate and aid journalists to carry out their assignments especially as it relates to the reportage of the 2023 elections”.
“We will be conducting the workshop in Bauchi,Plateau,Lagos,Gombe States and Abuja(FCT)before the commencement of the General Elections in 2023 in Nigeria”.
The Group added that it would also hold Press Conferences on the state of Nigeria in some selected states of the country.
“The programme is targeting about 1000 selected Journalists across various states in Nigeria before the 2023 general elections,” Bankole,said.
According to her, the theme of the Zonal Workshop is tagged:Media,Politics and National Development ’.The programme will be carried out by seasoned resource persons.
