EEJA Opens Admissions For 2026/2027 Session, Announces Youth Scholarship Initiative

JOS, PLATEAU STATE — Eagle Eye Journalism Academy (EEJA), the professional training arm of Eagle Eye Watch News, in collaboration with the Global Center for Media and Human Empowerment (GCMHE), has officially announced the opening of admissions for its upcoming academic session.

The academy aims to address the evolving demands of modern media by offering practical, industry-driven training pathways designed for aspiring reporters, seasoned media practitioners, and public relations professionals.

EEJA has unveiled three distinct programs tailored to different career levels:

  1. Certificate in Journalism (3 Months): A foundational course designed for beginners, digital content creators, and regional community reporters.
  2. Advanced Diploma in Investigative Journalism (6 Months): A specialized program for practicing journalists and graduates looking to master deep-dive reporting, fact-checking, and digital data analysis.
  3. Executive Media & Leadership Program (Flexible/Weekend): A premium track structured for media executives, PR professionals, Information Officers, and civil society leaders.

Speaking on the launch, the academy management emphasized its commitment to community development through a dedicated Youth Empowerment Initiative. The academy is offering special tuition scholarships for exceptionally gifted youth from less-privileged backgrounds who show a strong aspiration to practice ethical journalism.

Training will be facilitated by a faculty of veteran industry experts, seasoned journalists, legal practitioners, and civil society advocates. Students will also gain direct internship and publishing opportunities through Eagle Eye Watch News and partner media outlets.

Admission Requirements & Application:
For Diploma pathways, applicants must possess an SSCE, OND, HND, BSc, or equivalent qualification. The Executive pathway remains open to active media practitioners and community leaders.
