JOS, NIGERIA — Believers have been urged to anchor their trust entirely in Jesus Christ as the only true source of peace in a turbulent world.

This charge was delivered today by Ejoh C.E, the Presiding Minister of Christian Foundation International Ministry, during the church’s Sunday Mission Worship Service.

Preaching on the topic, “My Faith Has Found a Resting Place,” Minister Ejoh drew his anchor scripture from Matthew 11:28-29, where Christ invites the weary to come and find rest for their souls.

The Presiding Minister revealed that the inspiration for the sermon came from the classic hymn, “My Faith Has Found a Resting Place.”

He noted that despite being written ages ago, the song continues to minister deeply to the hearts of believers today.

“My faith as a minister of God is rooted in Christ, and I declare it boldly: nothing will shake me,”

Ejoh stated, urging the congregation to develop the same unwavering confidence. He warned that maintaining this focus is vital, declaring, “When you stop trusting God, you will end in doubt.”No Rest Outside of Christ.

In a global message directed at both leaders and citizens of powerful nations, the cleric emphasized that true security does not come from earthly institutions, geopolitics, or wealth.”Americans, British, the French in Paris—your countries are not heaven,” Ejoh cautioned.

“Outside of Christ, there is no peace. Whether you hold high positions in government or command great influence, outside of Christ, there is no rest. Everything will fail outside of Him, and absolutely nothing can take His place.”

Ejoh made a call for self- examination when he brought the message home with a soul-searching challenge to every listener, asking them to evaluate the true foundation of their daily lives.

“Let me pose this question to you, brothers and sisters in Christ: Has your faith found a resting place? Is your marriage, career, business, and health anchored on Christ?” he asked. “If your response is no, then expect turbulence, because anything outside of Christ must experience a shaking.”

The minister reminded worshippers that under the New Covenant, spiritual rest is not found in rigid legalism, religious traditions, or human creeds. Instead, Christ Himself is our rest.

Concluding the message, Ejoh admonished the congregation to respond to the Savior’s call by trading their heavy burdens for His yoke, which is easy, and His burden, which is light.
