Nigeria Premier Football League club, Heartland have announced the appointment of Kennedy Boboye as their new head coach.
Boboye takes charge from Christian Obi, who was sacked following the Naze Millionaire’s poor start to the season.
The Owerri club is yet to record a win in the NPFL this season after nine outings.

Heartland occupies the 20th position on the table with six points.
“We are pleased to announce that we have reached an agreement with two-time NPFL winning coach Kennedy Boboye,” reads a statement on the club’s X handle.
“He takes charge of the club’s technical team with immediate effect on a 1-year deal with an option of a renewal.”
Boboye is one of the respected coaches in the NPFL.
The former international won the NPFL title with Plateau United and Akwa United in the past.
Eagle Eye Sports24 reports that the draw ‘spell’ haunted Heartland FC in their last outing against Sporting Lagos. The Naze Millionaires filtered away two points in match day 9 at 90+10 minutes to settle for a 1-1 draw in Lagos.
