DEI organise welfare outreach, host members birthday anniversary

The 82nd birthday of any one signifies 82 years of life. It’s a milestone often celebrated with love ones with cake,drinks and gifts. People may reflect on their life experiences and enjoy the day with family and friends.
This was the case of Mama Christiana John,a committed member of the Delighters Empowerment Initiatives based in Jos, Plateau State,North-Central, Nigeria as friends, well-wishers thronged the Rhema Experience Ministry Cathedral to celebrate this worthy Matriarch in a colourful well attended event in Jos.
For the service, mama Christiana John and some members of her family graced the occasion .
The guest preacher,Pst Sam Obasi took his Bible reading from John 2:1,with the message titled:Divine Visitation.
Speaking to Eagle Eye News24,one of the celebrant of the day,Mama Christiana John, recounted her experiences in life.
The mother of eight children,grand and great grand children shared some secrets of her longevity.
” It’s has been God Almighty that has seen me through life ever since,I lost my husband.Iam a mother of eight children with grand and great grand children.I must also thank our mummy,the President of Delighters Empowerment Initiatives,Mrs Mabel Amobi for honouring me on my birthday.Its truly a celebration of joy for me”.
Similarly,the President of DEI,Mrs(Pst)Mabel Amobi Chinyere,
shared some of the vision of the organization and reasons for organizing the 82nd birthday for mama Christiana and others.
” My inspiration was borne out of the neglect for widows and the less privileged in the society,for many years nobody looks after them.
In 2007,God gave me clear instructions from the Book of Isaiah 1 :17 to respond to the needs of widows,less privileged,youths and orphans in different ways in other to empower them through our various empowerment programme”.
During the celebration session, family and friends of the celebrants danced with them, and the congregation prayed for their families.
One highlight of the church service was when the Octogenarian,mama Christiana John joined the music team, in praises toward the end of the service and the cutting of the birthday cake couple with group photograph with friends,family members and we’ll wishers.
The programne was climaxed with the closing prayer taken by Ejoh C E,Presiding Minister of Christian Foundation International Ministry.
Eagle Eye News24 reports that the DEI is a Christian faith- based non- denominational and non-governmental organisation geared towards capacity building, economic empowerment, advocacy,counseling vis – a – vis bettering the lives of the less privileged in society.
