#EndBad Governance:Gov.Mutfwang Further Relaxes Curfew on Jos-Bukuru Metropolis

Consequent upon the cry by residents of Jos-Bukuru metropolis for the government of Plateau State to lift the 24 hours curfew imposed on the city to allow business to continue and free movement of citizens.
The Plateau State Government has heeded to the cry of the people as it has further relaxed the curfew, effective today, Thursday, August 8, 2024,owing to the relative normalcy in the affected areas.
This was contained in a released by the Director of Press Affairs to the governor, Gyang Bere.
Residents are now permitted to move freely for their lawful activities from 12 noon to 6 pm daily until further notice.
The State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, in consultation with security agencies, has authorized this relaxation. He assured the public that the government will continue to make decisions in the best interest of the people.
Governor Mutfwang commended the public for their peaceful conduct during the curfew and appealed for continued cooperation with security agencies to ensure the safety and security of the state.
Recall that the Eagle Eye News24 reported the earlier lifting of the curfew from 24 hours to 2pm-6pm.
The curfew which came as a result of skirmishes in some parts of Jos-North LGA, when suspected armed hoodlums latched on the peaceful #EndBadGovernance protest in Jos to perpetuate criminality and destruction of properties.
