Plateau: FRSC Corps Commander lauds Gov.Lalong , says, he has done well in road rehabilitation

The Plateau State government under the leadership of  Barr. Simon Bako Lalong has received commendation for its strides on road construction and rehabilitation in the state.

This assertion was made by the Corps Commander Federal Road Safety Commission(FRSC)Plateau State ,Alphonsus Godwin when he spoke as a guest   at the EAGLE EYE NEWS 24 flagship program: NATION BUILDING in Jos.

“The Plateau State government has done  well in the areas of road construction and rehabilitation in the state which has helped in enhancing road safety ”.

Responding to the question on his leadership style, he said that his Commission has ensured that traffic situation improves, devoid of gridlock in the state.

Adding that the people of Plateau State are civilize and educated which has also led to easy management of road safety  management in the state.

“I have ensured  that traffic situation improves devoid of gridlock and the people of Plateau State are civilized and educated which has helped in the management of road safety in the state”.

Speaking on the FRSC partnership with other security agencies, he alluded that the security agencies work in synergy.

“There is a very robust synergy between security outfits courtesy of the Plateau State government to ensure that the security situation improves in the state”.  

CC Godwin decline making comments on the contentious issue that is been agitated  by  some section of Nigerians for the FRSC officers to be armed like other military organizations in Nigeria.

“It is a serious policy matter that I may not want to comment on. If the federal government finds it expedient, so be it” ,he said.

He further advised Nigerians to obey traffic rules like over speeding,wrongful overtaking and use of phones while driving because these vices are the causes of road accidents.
