Plateau Lifts Curfew

The Plateau State Government has lifted the curfew imposed on two local government areas of the state in the wake of the recent anti #End SARS protest that engulfed into crisis by thugs and criminals who latched into the peaceful protests last Tuesday.
A release made available by the Secretary to the State Government.Prof.Danladi Atu on Thursday.
The statement said that the decision was borne out of:”painstaking deliberations with critical stakeholders and careful assessment of the security situation that led to the skirmishes in some parts of the affected LGAs.
The government has decided to relax the curfew imposed on Jos North and Jos South LGA from 6am to 8pm as from Friday October 23,2020 until further notice,”it reads.
It would be recalled that the pandemonium that rocked some parts of Jos-Bukuru metropolis of Plateau State earlier on Tuesday, Governor Simon Lalong imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jos South and Jos North LGAs of the State.
The government also banned all forms of protests in the aforementioned local governments.
EAGLE EYE WATCH recalls that three people were killed and several properties destroyed by hoodlums and robbers who were against the End SARS protesters.
