Jos, NIGERIA — Presiding Minister of Christian Foundation International Ministry, Ejoh C.E, delivered a powerful message titled “God’s Escape Route” during the church’s Sunday mission service on 4 October 2026.

Building upon the previous week’s sermon on the wrath and anger of God, Ejoh emphasized that while human actions can trigger divine judgment, God’s ultimate desire is not destruction, but deliverance.

Lessons from History: Warning Before Wrath

Ejoh reminded the congregation that biblical events like the great flood in the time of Noah and the fiery destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah serve as clear indicators of God’s character. He noted that God never sends destruction without first sending a warning.

“Every time God comes in the fashion of destruction, he will always warn the people,” Ejoh stated. “He will always send his messengers.”

He explained that divine anger signals that “something extraordinary, something suicidal, something violent wants to happen to humanity,” prompting God to intervene with a warnings for safety.

The Limitation of Prophets vs. The Ultimate Sacrifice

While God historically raised prophets like Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Isaiah to caution mankind, Ejoh pointed out that these messengers were limited in their impact. The people of those generations often failed to fully comprehend or lovingly receive their messages.

To provide a permanent solution, Ejoh explained that God enacted a superior plan by sending Jesus Christ in the likeness of men to serve as the ultimate atonement for human sin.

Salvation: The Only Escape Route

Anchoring his sermon on John 3:16 and Hebrews 2:3, Ejoh emphasized that salvation through Jesus Christ is the definitive “escape route” provided by God.

“Our escape route is rooted in the salvation that God has offered for man,” Ejoh declared, highlighting the conditional nature of the word “whosoever” in scripture. He stressed that this salvation is entirely dependent on an individual’s active faith and belief in what Jesus accomplished on the cross of Calvary.

Concluding the service on a note of triumph, the Presiding Minister reminded believers of the supreme authority granted to Christ. He affirmed that there is absolute power, deliverance, and victory in the name of Jesus, prompting vibrant declarations of “Alleluia” from the congregation.
