The Battle to survive relegation in the Nigerian National League(NNL) continues on Friday in Ado-Ekiti as Ekiti United brightens it’s chances with a lone goal victory over 1472 FC of Lagos.
Coach Ayodeji Ayeni is proving he is up to Ekiti United survival mission as his team secured the maximum three points.
The goal came via the booths of Bolu Afolabi in the 11th minute which helped Ekiti United pick the three points against 1472 FC.of Lagos.
The coach Ayodeji Ayeni tutored side will need to work extra hard in order to secure victories in their remaining three matches if they are to escape relegation in the Southern Conference Group B log.
Friday’s victory has placed Ekiti United on 9th position with 20 point in the 12 teams group.
The victory will further galvanized the team for glory especially with the return of coach Ayodeji Ayeni,who is on a rescue mission.
Recall that the Ekiti State government recently wade it’s axe on the technical crew following a poor strings of results in which the team was white washed by 5 goals to nil last week in Lagos by Smart City FC.
Eagle Eye News24 reports that the management of Ekiti United last Tuesday dissolved the technical crew of the team and
announced the recall of former coach Ayodeji Ayeni in its bid to salvage the team.
Ekiti United will now play Abeokuta Stormers in their next away fixtures on MD20 next weekend.
