CAF announce procedures for 2025/26 CAFCL draws

The football fraternity will set their eyes on Johannesburg,South Africa for the draws of the group stage of the Total Energies CAF Champions League 2025/26.
The Confédération Africaine de Football (“CAF”) confirmed the draw procedures for the Group Stage of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League 2025/26, with the ceremony set to take place at 14h00 local time (12h00 GMT) on Monday, 03 November in Johannesburg, South Africa.
Sixteen (16) clubs have advanced from the second preliminary round and will be engaged in the official group stage draw where they will be divided into four groups of four teams (Groups A-D).
The teams have been seeded based on their performance in CAF interclub competitions over the past five seasons.
Below are the detailed draw procedures:
POT 1
Teams: Al Ahly FC (EGY), Mamelodi Sundowns (RSA), Espérance Sportive de Tunis (TUN), RS Berkane (MAR)
The 1st ball drawn will go directly to Group A (A1)
The 2nd ball drawn will go directly to Group B (B1)
The 3rd ball drawn will go directly to Group C (C1)
The 4th ball drawn will go directly to Group D (D1)
POT 2
Teams: Simba SC (TAN), Pyramids FC (EGY), Al Hilal SC (SUD), Young Africans (TAN)
The 1st ball drawn will go directly to Group A (A2)
The 2nd ball drawn will go directly to Group B (B2)
The 3rd ball drawn will go directly to Group C (C2)
The 4th ball drawn will go directly to Group D (D2)
POT 3
Teams: Atlético Petroleos (ANG), AS FAR (MAR), MC Alger (ALG), Rivers United FC (NGA)
The 1st ball drawn will go directly to Group A (A3)
The 2nd ball drawn will go directly to Group B (B3)
The 3rd ball drawn will go directly to Group C (C3)
The 4th ball drawn will go directly to Group D (D3)
POT 4
Teams: JS Kabylie (ALG), Stade Malien (MLI), FC St Eloi Lupopo (COD), Power Dynamos (ZAM)
The 1st ball drawn will go directly to Group A (A4)
The 2nd ball drawn will go directly to Group B (B4)
The 3rd ball drawn will go directly to Group C (C4)
The 4th ball drawn will go directly to Group D (D4)
