2025 Federation Cup: HeartLand beat CP Strikers, advance to Round 32

Heartland FC,Owerri has sent CP Strikers,Borno out from the 2025 President Federation Cup by a 2 goals to nil on Wednesday.

The Naze Millionaires defeated underdogs CP Strikers FC by two unreplied goals in the Round of 64 game decided in Jos this Wednesday.

’Terdoo Shimangade’s 47′ second-half strike open the scoring for the coach Emmanuel Amunike’s tutored side before Anthony Omaka sealed victory for the Naze Millionaires in a one sided encounter.

The encounter which was played at the New Jos International Stadium on Wednesday afternoon began by 1.13pm under the scorch sun with sparse spectators .

The match began with a tense, partially contested first half, featuring impressive attacking displays from HeartLand,but met with a very determined defensive play by the Borno amateur side contending the flurry of chances created by Heartland.

Heartland would have increase their lead but for poor finishing which has been the bane of the Owerri based side.

“My team didn’t played as expected despite the victory against CP Strikers,” said coach Emmanuel Amunike in a post-match interview with the Eagle Eye Sports24.
