NPFL: Niger Tornadoes, Rivers United match get new date

The Nigeria Premier Football League matchday eight fixture involving Niger Tornadoes and Rivers United has been rescheduled to Monday, October 21.

The game was initially billed to take place on Saturday, October 20.

The encounter was moved due to logistics reasons.

The match will be played at the Bako Kontagora Memorial Stadium, Minna.

“Our earlier scheduled NPFL Match Day 8 clash against Rivers United this weekend has been rearranged by the league board to now take place on Monday 21st October 2024.”Niger Tornadoes wrote on X.

Eagle Eye News24 reports that Niger Tornadoes recorded a one all draw against the Peoples Elephant Enyimba in Aba in Match Day 7 but are   are yet to record a victory at home this season.

The NPFL has also  rescheduled some other fixtures due to Star Times live coverage of some of these matches for Monday,October 21,these includes:

Ikorodu City vs Lobi Stars

Akwa United vs Enugu Rangers
