“This year’s edition is unique in terms of the teams that participated. We have a mixture of the premier and amateur teams in the tournament.Again the organisation has improved and by God’s grace there will be an improvement in the prize-money.
Responding on the goal for featuring some lower league teams at the Pre-Season Tournament, he alluded to the fact that it is to give some of them the needed exposure.
“Our FA has some amateur teams that are product of the Governors Cup.It is an avenue to expose them because most of these amateur players have not had the opportunity to play with premier league players.
About five of these players have been penciled down for transfer to bigger teams,so it’s an avenue to expose these players”.
