NPFL MD30:Remo Stars force Doma United to a draw in Gombe, overtake Shooting Stars

Doma United played a disappointing 1-1 draw with visiting Remo Stars on Wednesday in the last match of the Match Day 30 fixtures at the Pantami Stadium,Gombe.

Eagle Eye Sports24 reports that Doma United started the match on a sound footing haven curtailed the fast paced Remo Stars which paved the way for the first goal by defence marshal Andrew Majalisa in the 46th after the Remo Stars goal keeper caught the ball inside the goal line and center referee signal a goal .

The 2nd half witnessed some attacking display by both sides but Remo Stars looked more dangerous in the attack with some decisive forays into the defence line of Doma United.

The decisive moments came in the 92nd minute when spectators were settling for an home win when the equaliser came via the boot of defence maestro Nduka Junior who slot in a shot inside the crowded 18 yard box.The goal sent goose pimples on the faces of Doma United supporters as they left the pitch in agony having lost their previous match by 4 goals to nil to 6th placed Plateau United in Jos.

The victory jacked Remo Stars to the 4th position in the NPFL log with 50 points, overtaking Shooting Stars FC in 49 point while Doma United remained at the 13th position with 38 points.

Remo Stars will be confronting Plateau United in Jos on Match Day 31 while Doma United lock horns with 10th placed Niger Tornadoes with 39 point at their adopted home ground on Sunday at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium,Kaduna.
