A former Military Governor of Lagos and Imo States, Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu (retd.), has died at the age of 77.

Kanu’s staff  Pius Ejoh, confirmed this to The EAGLE EYE WATCH on Wednesday.

“I can confirm that he has passed on. This is a very sad news. He was a very good man, I and my family received the news as a shock” he said.

The cause of his death could not be immediately confirmed as at press time.

Kanu, who was appointed into the Supreme Military Council headed by the late Head of State, Gen. Murtala Muhammed in 1975, later became a human rights activist after leaving the military.

He has been managing his maritime outfit RANGK Ltd over the years before the firm had a running legal battle before his death.
