Plateaunians rain curses on Gov.Lalong over Reinstatement of Curfew

Following the recent looting by hoodlums in Bukuru in Jos South LGA of Plateau State,North Central Nigeria on Saturday 24th,October,2020.
The Plateau State Government has reinstated curfew in Jos North and Jos South local government areas due to the lootings by hoodlums who broke into warehouses where palliatives delivered to the state by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs,Disaster Management and Social Welfare last week were stored awaiting distribution and carted them away.
According to the statement, “This this looting has spread to other facilities and is gradually degerating thereby threatening the peace and security of the state. To avoid further escalation,I hereby direct the immediate reinstatement of the 24-hour curfew earlier relaxed from 4pm today Saturday 24th October 2020 in Jos South and Jos North LGAs till further notice. ”
It would be recalled that the Plateau State Government had earlier imposed a curfew on two local government areas of the state in the wake of the recent anti #End SARS protests that engulfed into crisis by thugs and criminals who latched into the peaceful protests last Tuesday.
The Statement was made available on Saturday.
Meanwhile,there is pandemonium in the Faringada area of Jos North LGA in Plateau State as there was heavy gridlock in the Zaria road axis leading to the roundabout,tomato market area as a result of the impromptu curfew re imposed in the state.
EAGLE EYE WATCH authoritatively report that commuters were seen scrambling to meet the deadline of the curfew in the metropolis thereby creating confusion.
Speaking to our reporter, Mr.Boniface Okafor,said,::” its an unfortunate situation that could have been avoided, saying that the governor Simon Lalong lacks focus,while others rain curses on the governor for not been proactive”.
In another development the family of Late Pst.Festus Amobi were shocked over this development as preparation for their son,Onyekachi Amobi,s wedding, which was slated for tomorrow Sunday 25th October,2020 at the Ultra Modern Ornate Pavillion in Rock haven,Zaria road,Jos has been threatened due to the current development in the state capital.
The government has decided to reinstate the curfew on Jos North and Jos South LGA from 4pm as from Saturday 24,October,2020 until further notice,”it reads.
It would be recalled that the pandemonium that rocked some parts of Jos-Bukuru metropolis of Plateau State earlier on Tuesday, Governor Simon Lalong imposed a 24-hour curfew in Jos South and Jos North LGAs of the State.
The government also banned all forms of protests in the aforementioned local governments.
EAGLE EYE WATCH recalls that three people were killed and several properties destroyed by hoodlums and robbers who were against the #End SARS protesters.
Were the palliatives delivered last week or months back when people were really starving? Our leaders are heartless and shameless. Those entrusted with the palliatives should be brought to book to act as a deterrent to other and our governor, Lalong should take the lead. We need complete change in Nigeria
